    The Ministry of Justice and Labour, under the Sub-secretary of Labour and Social Security, through the Occupational Safety and Hygiene Directorate, is the institution responsible for ensuring overall occupational safety and health administration and enforcement.
    The objectives of the OSH Directorate are: inspection, protection and permanent and direct control of the OSH conditions at the workplace and in machinery; stability of buildings and constructions; control of the OSH conditions in the environment of workplaces; research on OSH issues together with others institutions.

Information and advisory services

  1. Knowledge and research bodies

    The Occupational Safety and Hygiene Directorate of the Ministry of Justice and Labour has the discretion to conduct research with others institutions. The Ministry also promotes training on OSH issues and risk prevention.
    The law provides the Institute of Labour Studies.
