1. Promoting the Effective Governance of Labour Migration from South Asia through Actions on Labour Market Information, Protection during Recruitment and Employment, Skills and Development Impact (in Nepal, India and Pakistan)

   1 June 2013 - 30 September 2016

   The Project aims to promote the management of labour migration from South Asia, to ensure effective protection of the rights of vulnerable migrant workers, enhance the development impact of labour migration and reduce irregular flows.

2. ILO-DFID Partnership Programme on Fair Recruitment and Decent Work for Women Migrant Workers in South Asia and the Middle East "Work in Freedom"

   20 April 2013 - 31 July 2018

   The Work in Freedom is an integrated programme to support mobility by choice among women and girls from destination countries (India, Bangladesh and Nepal) to decent jobs with safety and dignity of workers in destination countries (India, Lebanon and Jordan) through fair recruitment processes.

3. ILO-DFID Partnership Programme on Fair Recruitment and Decent Work for Women Migrant Workers in South Asia and the Middle East - NEPAL

   20 April 2013 - 31 July 2018

   The Programme, known as “Work in Freedom”, aims to prevent trafficking of women and girls from Bangladesh, India and Nepal as migrant workers in major destination countries (India, Jordan, and Lebanon). It will empower women and girls economically and socially, ensuring decent work conditions and better wages at both origin and destination countries.

   The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) was launched in 2013 as a response to the call at Rio+20 to support countries to embark on greener and more inclusive growth pathway. ILO’s activities within PAGE focus on Green Jobs and ensuring Just Transitions that manage workplace changes as a result of the impacts of climate change.

1. ILO / World Bank / Government of India Agreement – Technical Support on Rural Roads Maintenance

   1 October 2012 - 31 July 2016

   The ILO will provide technical assistance for developing and launching innovative and sustainable employment intensive rural roads maintenance systems for the project.

2. Promoting Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment in the World of Work in Brazil, Angola, South Africa India, China (BASIC)

   1 May 2012 - 31 March 2014

   This project aims to tackle sex-based discrimination and promote workplaces where women and men enjoy equal rights and respect, as well as equal opportunities and treatment.

3. Way Out of Informality: Facilitating Formalization of the Informal Economy in South Asia

   1 June 2012 - 30 June 2017

   The project aims to facilitate the formalization of some selected sectors in the informal economy and support the discouragement of informalisation of jobs and enterprises in the formal economy.

2. Promoting equality in employment for the Dalit Community in India

   With a view to strengthening follow-up to the comments of the ILO supervisory bodies, US$200,000 has been allocated from the Special Programme Account by the Governing Body for NORMES and DECLARATION to work together in 2011 to strengthen national capacities to apply international labour standards on non-discrimination in employment and occupation and on freedom of association and collective bargaining. Within this framework, $100,000 has been allocated for work in India.

3. Reducing Vulnerability to Bondage in India through Promotion of Decent Work

   The overall objective of the project is to bring significant reduction in household vulnerability to bondage in India through an integrated approach to promote Decent Work
