  3. The Asia Regional Child Labour (ARCL) Programme (Project fact sheet)

    Funded by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, (UK), the ARCL Programme aims at assisting the ILO constituents and other stakeholders in Pakistan to eliminate child labour in particular the worst forms of child labour, which in turn contributes to the achievement of SDG 8.7 by 2025.

  8. Greener clothes? Environmental initiatives and tools in the garment sector in Asia

    The increasing social and environmental impacts of the textile and garment supply chain are well known and have resulted in the development of an array of initiatives, tools and assessment platforms to enhance the sustainability of the sector. There is a great deal of diversity in these initiatives, including differences in their focus, the actors involved, who the beneficiaries are, the longevity of the activities and how they define and measure success. The report highlights where there might be gaps in the current offerings of initiatives, and what types of initiatives have alignment with MSMEs knowledge and learning needs, as a way to highlight where future attention in developing new or enhanced initiatives might lie.

  12. Rapid Assessment: The impact of COVID-19 on labour migration governance, recruitment practices and migrant workers in Pakistan

    Covering the period from March to November 2020, the assessment examines the pandemic’s impact on labour migration from Pakistan, primarily to Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Its findings are drawn from an in-depth survey, key informant interviews and discussions with migrant workers, regulatory bodies, relevant stakeholders and facilitators of migration processes.

  13. Pakistan Decent Work Country Profile 2019

    This report is part of a joint collaboration between the Government of Pakistan and ILO to measure changes to ascertain progress and sustainability toward achieving decent work. The report was carried out in close collaboration with ILO Technical Specialists in Geneva and a team of national experts in Pakistan.
