Promoting environment friendly brick kilns

An orientation and onsite training to convert brick kilns to environment friendly patterns was imparted to brick kiln owners and workers of Multan Division.

MULTAN (ILO News): To support plans of the government on addressing pollution and smog, an orientation and onsite training to convert brick kilns to environment friendly patterns (Zig-zag technology) imparted to brick kiln owners and workers of Multan Division. The said technology is cost-effective, occupational safety and health compliant and offers better return on investments. The training was conducted in collaboration with the Environment Protection Department (EPD), Government of Punjab, Punjab Vocational Training Council and Brick Kiln Owners’ Association of Pakistan. It is one of the initiatives of ILO’s project on promotion of Decent Work funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS).
