CEB Toolkit capacity building

The ILO has provided a range of training activities as part of the Toolkit implementation to strengthen knowledge of the Decent Work Agenda, drawing on the technical expertise from various departments and staff in the field.

The ILO has provided a range of training activities as part of the Toolkit implementation to strengthen knowledge of the Decent Work Agenda, drawing on the technical expertise from various departments and staff in the field.

Workshops have been held with numerous stakeholders at the global, regional and country level to help them mainstream decent work into their policies, programmes and activities. Workshops were also held for ILO staff to help them use the Toolkit, particularly at country level to facilitate the integration of decent work in the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (see Country level application for more information) [insert hyperlink to country level page].

As part of capacity building efforts, new training tools were developed in collaboration with the International Training Centre of the ILO, including an online distance learning course on mainstreaming decent work and a module for workers’ representatives on working with the UN. The distance course was carried out in 2010 and in 2011 and received positive reviews from the participants.

Several capacity building training activities were carried out with financial support from the EC’s DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities as part of a technical cooperation project to develop the CEB Toolkit within the Decent Work Campaign.
