Launch of the 2023 edition of the International Journal of Labour Research
The ILO’s Bureau for Workers’ Activities (ACTRAV) will organize a high-level launch of the International Journal of Labour Research on 11th December 2023 at 14:00 (CET-Geneva time). "A new social contract: achieving social justice in an era of accelerating change" will be launched during a panel discussions which will bring together authors, researchers , academics, ILO representatives and leaders from trade union movement.

Raising awareness on the cooperative model among coffee farmers in Lao PDR

Facilitators were trained on the cooperative model including its principles, values, structure, function and related legislation and policies to then train 400 coffee producers in villages of Dak Cheung district in Lao PDR.

EU and UN agencies join forces to address root causes of child labour

A new EU-funded action will tackle the root causes of child labour in supply chains, focusing primarily on coffee and leveraging existing efforts on cobalt. Under the leadership of the ILO, the project will be jointly implemented with FAO and UNICEF, in collaboration with the International Trade Centre (ITC).
