Mesurer le travail domestique
Les données sur le travail domestique sont notoirement difficiles à collecter. L'OIT a publié ses premières estimations sur le travail domestique en 2013, dans le rapport "Domestic workers across the world ». Cette méthodologie a ensuite été affinée et adaptée en 2016, et publiée dans le cadre d’estimations sur les travailleurs migrants à l'échelle mondiale (« ILO global estimates on migrant workers"). Ces deux ressources clés sont accompagnées de guides sur la recherche qualitative et quantitative sur le travail domestique, d'estimations sur le travail domestique des enfants et de réflexions sur la manière de mesurer la valeur sociale et économique du travail domestique.
