Cook Islands become 186th ILO member State

GENEVA – Following the application for International Labour Organization (ILO) membership of the Government of the Cook Islands, the International Labour Conference decided to admit the country to membership of the ILO by a large majority of votes.

The admission follows a communication by the Government of the Cook Islands to the ILO Director-General stating its formal acceptance of the obligations of the ILO Constitution.
