Invitation of international non-governmental organizations

The Governing Body, on the recommendation of its Officers, authorized the Director-General to invite the following international non-governmental organizations to be represented at the session of the Joint Working Group as observers:

– International Collective in Support of Fishworkers;

– International Christian Maritime Association;

– International Committee on Seafarers’ Welfare;

– International Maritime Committee.

Meeting of Experts to Adopt Guidelines on Port State Responsibilities for the Inspection of Labour Conditions on Board Ships (Geneva, 22–26 September 2008)

Composition

The Governing Body approved the proposed composition formula for the Meetings. (GB.301/19, paragraph 9.)

Invitation of international non-governmental organizations

The Governing Body, on the recommendation of its Officers, authorized the Director-General to invite the following international non-governmental organizations to be represented at the Meetings as observers:

– International Association of Classification Societies;

– International Christian Maritime Association;

– International Committee on Seafarers’ Welfare;

– International Maritime Health Association;

– International Shipping Federation;

– International Transport Workers’ Federation.

Appointment of an ILO tripartite delegation to the 51st Session of the IMO Subcommittee on Stability and Load Lines and on Fishing Vessels’ Safety (SLF 51) (London, 14–18 July 2008)

The Governing Body appointed the following ILO tripartite delegation, to participate in the work of the correspondence group and the above session of the IMO Subcommittee on Stability and Load Lines and on Fishing Vessels’ Safety.

Appointment of a Governing Body delegation to the XVIII World Congress on Safety and Health at Work and to the Safety and Health Summit (Seoul, Republic of Korea, 29 June–2 July 2008)

The Governing Body, subject to approval by its Programme, Financial and Administrative Committee of the corresponding financial arrangements, appointed the following tripartite delegation to the above Congress and Summit.
