Implications of COVID-19 on evaluations in the ILO: Practical tips on adapting to the situation

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in restrictions on the mobility of ILO staff and consultants. Consequently, it has caused us to re-think how we conduct our work as an evaluation function in order to maintain activities to the extent possible without taking unnecessary risks.

In this effort, the Evaluation Office created a framework to respond to new and emerging demands on the function. It provides guidance and support to Regional Evaluation Officers, Departmental Evaluation Focal Points, Senior Evaluation Officers, Evaluation Managers and on how to conduct and manage ongoing and planned evaluations or, if necessary, to delay or cancel them. It is also useful for all responsible officers dealing with development cooperation.​​​
