  1. Social dialogue interventions: What works and why? Lessons learned from a synthesis review, 2013–2016

    The report presents the findings of a synthesis review of ILO social dialogue interventions from 2013–16. The report is prepared in advance of the 2018 recurrent discussion of the International Labour Conference on Social Dialogue, and is meant as an accompanying piece to the recurrent discussion on the strategic objective of social dialogue and tripartism. It is based on an extensive review of evaluations, project documents and studies related to ILO social dialogue interventions with the aim of contributing to organizational learning. Findings from the analysis will strengthen the evidence base and inform the development and implementation of future social dialogue measures by the ILO and its constituents.

  2. Independent evaluation of the ILO’s strategy and actions for creating and extending social protection floors, 2012–2017

    This high-level evaluation covered the ILO’s work on social protection following the adoption of the Social Protection Floors Recommendation, 2012 (No. 202), which had a profound impact on its work. The evaluation focused on the ILO’s strategy and work on promoting social protection, including social protection floors, for the 2012–17 period. The evaluation identifies recommendations for improving the ILO’s social protection-related work and reflects on lessons learned and emerging good practices in an effort to contribute to organizational learning.

  4. Independent evaluation of the ILO’s Decent Work Country Programme strategies and actions in the Mekong subregion, 2012-2017

    ILO Decent Work Country Programmes (DWCPs) are the primary framework for delivering support to member countries in an effort to promote decent work as a key national development strategy. This high-level evaluation assesses the extent to which the ILO’s Decent Work Country Programmes, strategies and actions that were delivered in the Mekong subregion from 2012-17 achieved their expected results. It also identifies recommendations, lessons learned and emerging good practices in order to contribute to organizational leaning by informing future DWCPs and strategies.

  5. Annual evaluation report 2016-17 (Long Report)

    This year’s report reflects on the ILO’s effectiveness and the progress made in implementing the ILO’s extended evaluation strategy (2011-17) as measured against its three outcomes (1) Improved use of evaluation by ILO constituents and management for governance; (2) Harmonized Office-wide evaluation practice to support transparency and accountability; (3) Evaluation capability expanded through enhanced knowledge, skills and tools.
