HIV and Occupational Safety and Health

The primary goal of the programme is to ensure healthcare workers have decent, safe and healthy working conditions, while ensuring effective care for the needs and rights of patients, in particular people with HIV. Objectives of the programme are:

• Advocate policy change to ensure the rights of healthcare workers to occupational safety and health related to HIV Hepatitis B and C.
• Develop policies, guidelines and tools to create an OSH management system in healthcare settings.
• Establish a culture of prevention on OSH in Chinese healthcare settings.
• Reduce discrimination towards people with HIV in accessing medical treatment.
