2021

  1. Eliminating poverty and HIV related employment discrimination

    1 January - 31 December 2021

    Under the UN HIV Joint Program Framework, the ILO will focus on eliminating poverty and HIV related employment discrimination

  2. Quality apprenticeship and lifelong learning in China

    16 March 2020 - 31 December 2021

    The project aims to collaborate with Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, employers’ and workers’ organizations in China in developing a more responsive skill development system, adapted to labour market changes and technological development, in order to reduce job-skill mismatch highlighted in the labour market need analysis. It consists of three main components: research, capacity building and the adaptation of relevant ILO tools for quality apprenticeship and skill development.

  3. Formal Employment is Promoted for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia

    1 January 2019 - 31 December 2021

    The project, funded from the ILO Regular Budget Supplementary Account, focuses on facilitating progressive transitions from the informal to the formal economy in in Mongolia. The actions under the project will give effect to the ILO’s roadmap for “Effective ILO development cooperation in support of the Sustainable Development Goals” and the ILO Transitions from the Informal Economy to the Formal Economy Recommendation, 2015 (No 204). Further it provides support to the government in addressing the Direct Request of the ILO Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations on Mongolia’s application of the Employment Policy Convention No 122.

  4. Responsible Supply Chains in Asia - China

    15 December 2017 - 14 December 2021

    The Responsible Supply Chains in Asia programme aims to promote responsible business practices into the operations of multinational companies and their supply chains. Active in six Asian countries, the programme in China is working to enhance respect for labour rights and environmental standards among multinational enterprises with supply chains in the electronics and textiles sectors. This project is co-funded by the European Union and the ILO under the EU’s Partnership Instrument.

  5. Sustaining Competitive and Responsible Enterprises (SCORE) Phase III - China

    1 November 2017 - 31 October 2021

    Sustaining Competitive and Responsible enterprises (SCORE) is a practical training and in-factory counselling programme that improves productivity and working conditions in small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

  1. Multidisciplinary Research on Poverty, Inequality and HIV and AIDS

    1 January - 31 December 2020

    The project is under the Plan of the Joint UN Team on AIDS in China.

  2. Responsible Supply Chains in Asia - Approach and Objectives

    15 December 2017 - 14 December 2020

    The Responsible Supply Chains in Asia programme aims to further sustainable and inclusive economic, social and environmental progress by integrating responsible business practices into the operations of multinational companies and their supply chains. Active in selected industrial sectors in six Asian countries, it takes a multifaceted approach with the aim of promoting respect for human rights, and labour and environmental standards.

  4. Sustaining GSP-Plus Status by Strengthened National Capacities to Improve ILS Compliance and Reporting-Mongolia Phase 2

    1 April 2018 - 31 July 2020

    The project represents a continued support of the European Union to increase national capacity to apply core labour standards. It contributes to the realization of the fundamental principles and rights at work in Mongolia. The project focuses specifically on the promotion of the Protocol of 2014 to the Forced Labour Convention and advocacy of improved national response to human trafficking for labour exploitation.

  5. Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in the Cotton Supply Chain

    10 May 2017 - 30 June 2020

    This project will contribute to the implementation of Decent Work in the cotton supply chain by supporting the implementation of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in China. It will also support social dialogue on fundamental principles and rights at work at the national and industry levels (national, industry level, workplace and communities), with the aim of supporting a viable system of industrial relations.
