Virtual Knowledge Exchange Meeting Held among Mongolian Herder Cooperatives

Within the framework of the “Extending Social Protection to Herders with Enhanced Shock Responsiveness” UN Joint Project led by the International Labor Organization in Mongolia, the National Association of Mongolian Agricultural Cooperatives successfully organized an online meeting to exchange experiences on improving the cooperative's governance and performances.

ILO Global Business and Disability Network China Chapter launched the Joint Action to Promote Employment for University Graduates with Disabilities on 20 May 2021 Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, calling for action from government, business, people with disabilities and other stakeholders to work jointly and creatively to promote employment for graduates with disabilities.

The United Nations in Mongolia, in close cooperation with Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Mongolia has organized the second Steering Committee Meeting of the UN Joint Programme on Extending Social Protection to Herders with Enhanced Shock Responsiveness, on 30 April 2021. The Steering committee has discussed the 2020 implementation and 2021 workplan.

Research Seminar on Employment Injury Insurance (EII) for Workers in the Platform Economy

Worldwide, only 35.4% of the labour force is covered "by law" for employment injury insurance. The challenge of extending employment injury protection remains of high importance in many countries. In China, coverage of employment injury insurance (EII) is still relatively low when compared to the success in the expansion of coverage of employee pension schemes.

Tripartite Consultation Workshop on Development of a National Occupational Safety and Health Strategy

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP) of Mongolia will host this workshop to discuss principles and priorities for developing a new national OSH strategy for 2021-2025 with relevant ministries, government agencies and social partners. This work is supported by the ILO project on Promoting Formal Employment for Inclusive and Diversified Economic Growth in Mongolia.
