The Steering committee has discussed the 2020 implementation and 2021 workplan.

Research Seminar on Employment Injury Insurance (EII) for Workers in the Platform Economy

Worldwide, only 35.4% of the labour force is covered "by law" for employment injury insurance. The challenge of extending employment injury protection remains of high importance in many countries. In China, coverage of employment injury insurance (EII) is still relatively low when compared to the success in the expansion of coverage of employee pension schemes.

Tripartite Consultation Workshop on Development of a National Occupational Safety and Health Strategy

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP) of Mongolia will host this workshop to discuss principles and priorities for developing a new national OSH strategy for 2021-2025 with relevant ministries, government agencies and social partners. Mainstreaming Shock Responsiveness into the National Social Protection System in Mongolia
8 April 2021
On 8 April, the Joint SDG Fund Secretariat convened the fifth informal meet-up for Joint Programmes (JPs) on Shock Responsive Social Protection. Participants included JP teams from Mongolia, Barbados and Indonesia, and officers of relevant organizations working in this area were present: WFP, ILO, FAO and UNICEF. Mongolian JP aims to extend social protection to herders with enhanced shock responsiveness with an emphasis on reducing child and household poverty and promoting well-being.
