Understanding issues and challenges in Mongolian wage system and practice in the coal mining and cement manufacturing sectors

The workshop is the first step of understanding the current wage practice towards developing a new job-based wage scale in the mining and cement manufacturing sector in Mongolia. It will aim to develop a wage scale that can realize the principle of equal wage for work of equal value.

Workshop for Labour Inspectors on Industrial Accident and Acute Poisoning Reporting System
28 - 29 March 2016
The Government of Mongolia approved a regulation on "Reviewing and registering industrial accidents and acute poisoning" in 2015, and with the support of the ILO, it has developed a sofware programme for registering and reviewing industrial accident and acute poinsoning cases. Objective of the training is to train 56 labour inspectors from Ulaanbaatar city and 21 aimags on collecting data and analysis. The industrial accident and acute poisoning information will be published in National Statistics magazine and website on quarterly basis.

Mongolia’s Reporting Obligation on ILO Conventions

50 representatives of government, workers’ and employers’ organization gather to improve their understanding about the ILO’s mechanism to supervise the application of International Labour Standards and Mongolia’s reports on its application of ratified conventions that have been submitted to the ILO’s Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations (CEACR).

ILO/CMTU training for capacity building of union leaders on Decent Work and Labour Standards

A training for union leaders in foreign-invested enterprises and private enterprises concerning the principles of the ILO Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organize Convention, 1948 (No. 87) and the Right to Organize and Collective Bargaining, 1949 (No. 98), the ILO supervisory mechanism, and key provisions in the draft revised Labour Law.
