    The workshop aimed at introducing SDG and decent work indicators, with a particular focus on methodological aspects related to definitions and interpretations to national stakeholders including the National Statistical Office, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and social partners.

    The ILO and State Administration of Work Safety of China jointly organized the 8th China International Work Safety Forum in Beijing during 27-29 September 2016 in Beijing. The Forum aims to provide a platform to identify key issues, share technical experiences, and explore potential opportunities to promote occupational safety and health across the globe.

  4. High-Level Tripartite Symposium on the Future of Work in China

    6 September 2016

    The first “Future of Work Dialogue” in China, the symposium aims to explore the four “centenary conversations” including work and society, decent jobs for all, the organization of work and production, and the governance of work and make suggestions for further research, areas for collaborative action and format of future Dialogues.

  6. ILO-ITC-COMPAS Training course on China - EU Labour Migration: Challenges and Opportunities

    20 - 23 June 2016

    A training course for Chinese policy makers, organised by the ILO Office for China and Mongolia in cooperation with the ESRC Centre on Migration, Policy and Society (COMPAS) at the University of Oxford, and the International Training Centre of the ILO (ITCILO).

  7. Dissemination Workshop: Improving Linkages between Employment Promotion, Social Protection, Business and Skills Development in Rural Areas

    The workshop is jointly organized by the ILO MAPS project and the Ministry of Labour in Ulaanbaatar with focus on disseminating experiences of the pilot Rural programmes to promote decent work and social protection.

  8. Seminar on Media and Disability Advocacy – Promotion of Positive Media Reporting on Persons with Disabilities

    7 - 8 June 2016

    With the support of UNESCO, ILO and Handicap International, One Plus One Beijing Disabled Persons’ Cultural Development Center and Inclusion China jointly organize the seminar. Participants discuss and exchange how media and communication can contribute to restoring positive images of persons with disabilities through positive reporting, in order to promote disability rights and the inclusion of people with disabilities in the society.

  9. Discussion on expanding National Occupational Diseases List China

    People with Hepatitis are more common than people with HIV in China. Occupational infection of these blood borne pathogens should be considered an occupational disease for healthcare workers.

  10. ILO-UNIDO Workshop on Decent Work (the MNE Declaration) and Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) in Global Supply Chains

    This workshop is one of the key consultations in preparation for a discussion on Decent Work in Global Supply Chains at the 105th International Labour Conference. It aims to improve understanding about the capacity-building needs of stakeholders, and areas for future cooperation in support of sustainable supply chains.
