  1. National stakeholders exchanged ideas on domestic workers’ rights protection at ILO consultation meeting in Beijing

    The consultation meeting provided an opportunity for participants to discuss the research findings on recruitment, employment and working conditions of domes-tic workers in China, which reviewed the current policies and practices, exam-ined their coherence with international standards, and put forward recommenda-tions to address policy gaps and better protect domestic workers' rights. Gender dimension is particularly highlighted as over 90 per cent of the domestic workers are women.

  2. National stakeholders’ consultation meeting on recruitment, employment and working conditions of domestic workers in China

    A national stakeholders’ consultation meeting will be organized by the ILO Country Office for China and Mongolia on 29 March 2017 in Beijing under the EU-China Dialogue on Migration and Mobility Support Project. The consultation meeting will provide an opportunity for participants to discuss the research findings on recruitment, employment and working conditions of domestic workers in China, which reviewed the current policies and practices, examined their coherence with international standards, and put forward recommendations to address policy gaps and better protect domestic workers' rights. Gender dimension is particularly highlighted as 90 per cent of the domestic workers are women.

  3. ILO/NSO National Seminar on Introduction and Application of the New International Standards on Labour Statistics

    28 - 29 March 2017

    The seminar aims to introduce the 19th ICLS resolution highlights to the national stakeholders, learn from experiences of the ILO pilot project and discuss application of the new standards in Mongolia.

    The workshop aims to improve the quality of China's Labour Force Survey and data collection.

  5. ILO/MOHRSS Experts Meeting on Monitoring and Evaluation Approaches and Systems Relevant to Youth Employment and Training on Monitoring and Evaluation of Youth Employment Interventions in China

    14 - 16 March 2017

    The ILO CO-Beijing is collaborating with the Institute of Labour Studies, the Ministry of Human Resource and Social Protection (MOHRSS) to organize an expert meeting to discuss the monitoring and evaluation approaches for China’s youth employment policies.

  6. ILO/CEC Training Workshop on Issues and Risks in Labour Relations: Challenges for Collective Bargaining for Employers

    13 - 14 March 2017

    The workshop is to develop a better understanding of the risks and challenges in labour relations faced by employers, promote proactive approaches to risk prevention, and strengthen social dialogue, including collective bargaining, in order to tackle the challenges.

  7. SCORE Experience Sharing Meeting in Deqing

    09 March 2017, the ILO Country Office for China and Mongolia (ILO CO-Beijing) and the State Administration for Work Safety (SAWS) co-organized SCORE Experience Sharing Meeting in Deqing, Huzhou of Zhejiang province.

  8. CMTU Workshop on Draft Labour Law, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

    7 March 2017

    The workshop provided information on ongoing status of the draft labour law to representatives of 21 aimags, Ulaanbaatar city and sectoral trade unions, and discuss CMTU's position within international labour standards.

  9. National Tripartite Discussion on Revised Draft of Labour Law

    14 February 2017

    On 14 February 2017, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection (MLSP) of Mongolia organised a workshop in Ulaanbaatar on the draft Labour Law with technical support from the ILO and funding from the ILO/EU project, "CAMELS – Sustaining GSP-Plus status by strengthened national capacities to improve ILS compliance and reporting".

  1. Improving occupational safety and health in healthcare settings -- TOT Workshop on HIV and HealthWISE in China

    28 - 30 November 2016

    Healthcare workers in China face high risks of occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens including HIV in their daily medical practice. Protecting healthcare workers’ rights and improving their occupational safety and health conditions will leads to better medical service.
