Training seminars across Mongolia to strengthen Labour Law compliance
The General Agency for Specialized Investigation (GASI) conducts training seminars for 540 employers and employees in close partnership with the ILO social partners in the framework of the "SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project, funded by the European Union.

The General Agency for Specialized Investigation (GASI) conducts training seminars for 540 employers and employees in close partnership with the ILO social partners in the framework of the "SDG-Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project, funded by the European Union.
In efforts to strengthen the Labour Law compliance across Mongolia, GASI carried out training sessions in various locations in Mongolia, including Ulaanbaatar, Umnugovi province, Dornod province, and Bayankhongor province by GASI, together with the Mongolian Employers' Federation (MONEF), and Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU). These seminars targeted employers and workers from the Strategic Compliance Planning (SCP) priority sectors of mining, construction, textile, and energy, with different sectors represented in each location. A total of 540 people participated, 174 of whom were women.
Training seminars:
- September 20-25: Umnugovi province
260 participants from mining and transportation sector - September 29-30: Ulaanbaatar
180 participants from the construction and light/textile industry - October 04-07: Dornod province
100 participants from the mining, oil, and transportation sectors, - October 11-14: Bayankhongor province
90 participants from the mining and energy sectors

Senior inspectors, along with officials from the central and local branches of the MONEF and CMTU, facilitated the training sessions to deepen the understanding of important laws, regulations, procedures, and methods, as well as legal aspects relevant to occupational safety and health requirements among employers and worker representatives.
