SDG Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia

Employers are trained on the application of the newly revised Labour Law (2021)

The Mongolian Employers' Federation (MONEF) organised a series of training workshops for employers, human resource managers and legal officers of the textile, energy, mining, construction and road and transport sectors to improve labour law compliance at the enterprise level with the support of the "SDG Aligned Budgeting to Transform Employment in Mongolia" project funded by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP, FAO and ILO.

This training workshop is the final workshop in a series of its kind. Prior to this, a total of 4 training workshops were carried out by the MONEF.

The training topics include fundamental principles and rights at work, employment contracts, employment relationships, rotation, hours of work and rest, remuneration and compensation and internal labour regulations, all of which are foremost issues confronted by the employers to resolve everyday. These provisions create confusion and difficulties for employers in the context of the Labour Law implementation thus leading to poor labour law compliance. This training assisted the employers to avoid such kinds of risks and predicaments.
