Workshop for Labour Inspectors on Industrial Accident and Acute Poisoning Reporting System

The Government of Mongolia approved a regulation on "Reviewing and registering industrial accidents and acute poisoning" in 2015, and with the support of the ILO, it has developed a sofware programme for registering and reviewing industrial accident and acute poinsoning cases. Objective of the training is to train 56 labour inspectors from Ulaanbaatar city and 21 aimags on collecting data and analysis. The industrial accident and acute poisoning information will be published in National Statistics magazine and website on quarterly basis.

With adoption of the new regulation on "Reviewing and registering industiral accidents and acute poisoning", companies and business enterprises are expected to enter data starting from the second quarter of 2016, and hand manuals of the software programme is developed and published. According to the procecdure, labour inspectors will validate the date entered by companies and business enterprises, and analylze the data for further measures. As a result of the training, labour inspectors of Ulaanbaatar city and 21 aimags will have capacity to work on the system validating information and analyzing data. This system will help Mongolia to take necessary occupational safety and health measures based on data collected through the system.
