Skills, access to finance, regulatory reform, and ASEAN regional integration: Challenges and policy directions for enterprises (2016) - Lao Version

Studies indicate that a variety of challenges hinder further inflow of investment into the People’s Democratic Republic of Lao. Lack of skills and limited human resources, limited access to financial services and a discouraging regulatory environment, along with anticipated challenges related to regional economic integration place critical constraints on businesses. This policy report of the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LNCCI), predicated on a technical project supported by ILO’s Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP), provides policy recommendations based on a 2014 LNCCI/ILO survey, research and consultations with private sector and key stakeholders.
