    In the aftermath of Super Typhoon Rai (Odette), the ILO and DOLE had a coordination meeting. As a follow-up, DOLE Secretary Bello requested ILO’s assistance on ground assessment including pre-typhoon situationer for proper intervention.

  4. Bilateral workshops of TVETs between Guangzhou Industry and Trade Technician College of China and National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia

    Under the Skills Development Network through South-South Cooperation initiative, the ILO-China Programme convened on-line Workshop of Cooperation and Exchange between National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC) and Guangzhou Industry and Trade Technician College (GZITTC) of China. A total of 17 representatives from GZITTC, NPIC, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, and ILO colleagues attended the meeting. Participants highlighted the needs of TVET development through South-South Cooperation.

  7. Annual Review of Thailand Decent Work Country Programme 2019 – 2021 on 15 – 16 December 2021

    The ILO’s tripartite constituents announced its consensus in extending the end date of the Thailand Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP) 2019 – 2021 to end in December 2022 to be in line with national development plants, particularly the 12th National Economic and Social Development Plan (NESDP) for 2017-2021 (2022) and the United Nations Partnership Framework (UNPAF) 2017 – 2021 (2022). The participants discussed and reviewed the resulted achieved under the programme in 2021 with great success. They also discussed workplan for 2022 and suggested significant outcomes for the next Decent Work Country Programme.

  16. ILO Consults Partners on a Baseline Study and Sectoral Assessment for the Rural Sectors in the Philippines

    The International Labour Organization (ILO) Project on Improving Workers' Rights in the Rural Sectors of the Indo-Pacific with a focus on Women conducted an online Inception Workshop to consult tripartite partners in the Philippines on the proposed methodology of the Project Baseline Study and Sectoral Assessments for the Rural Sectors.
