Project Advisory Committee in Cambodia endorsed Project Workplan

The Project Advisory Committee (PAC) in Cambodia held a successful meeting on April 25, 2023, at the Cambodiana Hotel in Phnom Penh, to review the progress of the project, discuss about challenges and opportunities, and decide on the workplan for the next 12 months.


The PAC meeting was chaired by H.E Hing Sideth, Director General of DGTVET and attended by DDGs, Directors of Department, Technical Training Institutes, private sector, trade union, and project staff, with a total of 27 participants (7 female). The committee is composed of a diverse group of experts from ILO’s tripartite constituents who provide guidance and advice on ongoing project of ILO-China Partnership Programme.

 
The meeting began with an opening remark from Mr. Yutong Liu, ILO-China Partnership Programme Manager, and H.E Hing Sideth, DG and the chairperson of the committee, who welcomed the members and expressed his excitement for the progress that has been made in 2022.

 
The committee engaged in lively discussions, offered valuable feedback and suggestions, and agreed to implement recommendations. The meeting also included a presentation on the project progress in 2022 and workplan in 2023. Overall, the committee emphasized the importance of collaboration and communication among the members. The workplan for 2023 was endorsed and they look forward to continuing their work and making a positive impact for decent work in Cambodia.
