The Productivity Workshop on Enhancing Skilled Workforces, Digitalization and Productivity was organized successfully

On 29 Oct 2022, National Employment Agency (NEA) of Cambodia conducted a national workshop on “Enhancing Skilled Workforces, Digitalization and Productivity” with the support from the ILO/China Partnership Programme.

A total of 114 participants from tripartite constituents, job agencies and training institutes etc. participated the workshop on site, while more than 10,000 viewers joined online, with the themes focused on skills transformation, productivity growth, workplace learning.


Mr. Liu Yutong, ILO-China Partnership Programme Manager, pointed out in his opening remarks that “A low-wage, low-skill development strategy is unsustainable in the long term and incompatible with poverty reduction. In this regard, knowledge is power, skills are power. In the field of skills training, networking of training providers, policy-makers, and enterprises is power.”

ILO-China Partnership Programme supported NEA to organize a Career Fair from 28-29 October 2022 at Koh Pich Building, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. As a result, there were 150 enterprises (172 booths) participated as exhibitors in this 2-day event to present their job vacancies, recruitment and HR policy. This career fair also attracted 33,943 visitors for approximately 20,000 job vacancies. As a result, 24,042 CVs were received and 700 job seekers finished job interview immediately with employers at the event side.
