World Day against Child labour

Every year on June 12 activities are held throughout Asia and the Pacific to mark World Day against Child Labour. The theme for this year is: “Give girls a chance: End child labour”, and the ILO has released a new report: Give girls a chance: Tackiling child labour, a key to the future.

2009 has a special importance for the fight against child labour because it marks the 10th anniversary of Convention No. 182, on the Worst Forms of Child Labour.
