    The workshop aims to assist tripartite delegations from selected countries in the region to discuss and find effective ways to develop partnerships between training institutions and industries in making the skills development system more responsive to labour market needs and to reduce skills mismatch.

  2. Tripartite Action for the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers in the ASEAN Region (ASEAN TRIANGLE Project-Philippines)

    1 May 2012 - 13 December 2016

    The Project aims to significantly reduce the exploitation of labour migrants in the region through increased legal and safe migration and improved labour protection. The project promotes both bilateral and regional approaches to deal with shared concerns, make regionalism more effective, and enhance the capacity of institutions in ASEAN. The project objectives are in line with the strategic priorities of the ASEAN Labour Ministers Work Programme (2010-2015).

  1. New ILO migration project to improve migrant workers' conditions in South-East Asia

    The International Labour Organization (ILO) is launching a new project in South-East Asia to improve the governance of cross-border labour migration.

  2. Managing cross-border movement of labour in Southeast Asia

    The project aims to protect migrant workers by developing a knowledge base on migration issues for policy makers and building up the capacity of governments to manage orderly labour migration. It advocates for sound national labour migration policies, assists with raising migrant workers’ awareness of their rights, helps them access legal systems, promotes low-cost, efficient remittance systems, and supports skills training and enterprise development.

    Targets key constituents organizations and ILO staff from Cambodia, Lao PDR and Viet Nam who base their development interventions on value chain research and who wish to integrate gender equality concerns and participatory techniques into this research.

  2. Labour and social trends in Cambodia, 2010

    The NIS, with the support of the ILO, has published a Labour and Social Trends in Cambodia, 2010. It is a data driven publication, based on the analysis of the Census 2008 data and other primary data, along with data from the line ministries. It responds to the need for up to date labour market information and trends – on both quantitative and qualitative aspects of Decent Work –and the emerging policy implications. A detailed statistical annex is attached.

  1. The 3rd Mekong Youth Forum on Human Trafficking and Migration (MYF3)

    This regional event hosted by the Government of Thailand and co-organised by the ILO (TRIANGLE project), World Vision, Save the Children UK, and UNIAP brings together five young people from each of the six Mekong countries to discuss their experiences of migration and human trafficking.
