1. Trade Union Capacity Building Training on Trade Union Administration

   Improving labour standards in the global supply chains is an important part of a pro-poor development strategy. Ensuring that workers’ rights and entitlements are protected would help distribute the benefits of trade. In order to take advantage of these opportunities, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) collaborate in developing the Better Work programme for better labour standards in global supply chains and extending the coverage to Indonesia.

   A three-day workshop held in Dhaka 23-25 February 2015 brought together 39 such trainers from the National Coordination Committee for Workers Education (NCCWE) ready-made garment sector federations.

   Key trade unions representatives from 11 countries will gather at the Regional Trade Union Workshop in Yogyakarta, to discuss innovative ways to reduce child domestic labor through the promotion of decent work for domestic workers.

2. Trade Union Regional Workshop on Capacity Building of Domestic Workers Organizations and Elimination of Child Domestic Work

   The purpose of this meeting is to provide a forum for trade unions, domestic workers’ organisations and other stakeholders to discuss and share innovative approaches to reduce child domestic work through the promotion of decent work for domestic workers.
