Weekly radio show to help workers understand their rights and responsibilities

DHAKA - The International Labour Organization (ILO) with the support of the Government of Bangladesh and the Government of Norway is launching a Bangla-language radio show for workers entitled ‘আমারশ্রম, আমারঅধিকার’(My Labour, My Rights). Featuring workers rights experts, the shows will help create better understanding of rights and responsibilities in the workplace.

Workshop for Trade Union Representatives on Social Protection Floor
The workshop will provide an opportunity to the participating members to enhance their understanding of the SPF determinants. the objective of the workshop are a) awareness raising/advocacy campaigns among the workers; representatives on social protection floor initiatives, b) strengthening the capacity of trade unions in supporting the formulation of policy actions and active implementation of SPF schemes in the state, and c) to discuss and develop a road map / future action to take forward the SPF campaign initiatives.

Trade Union Capacity Building Training on Trade Union Administration
Improving labour standards in the global supply chains is an important part of a pro-poor development strategy. Ensuring that workers’ rights and entitlements are protected would help distribute the benefits of trade. In order to take advantage of these opportunities, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) collaborate in developing the Better Work programme for better labour standards in global supply chains and extending the coverage to Indonesia.
