    PROPEL-China PhaseII will continue to support capacity building, and policy development in promoting training and employment opportunities for people with disabilities, and persons with intellectual disabilities in particular as well as providing support to the fostering of non-discrimination against people with disabilities in employment and occupation in general. The programme will also contribute to strengthened media capacity to report on the rights of persons with disabilities, including those with intellectual disabilities and portray their working capacities.

  3. ILO – Kampung Halaman Foundation to launch disability video in Semarang: SAME - Spaces, Opportunities and Treatment for Persons with Disabilities

    In conjunction with the commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, the International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with Kampung Halaman Foundation (YKH), will organize a series of campaign activities titled “SAME: Spaces, Opportunities and Treatment for Persons with Disabilities”. The Semarang launch will be marked the final launch of the video diaries after the Jakarta launch on 5 December, Surabaya launch on 9 December, and Yogyakarta on 11 December.

  4. 98 to 8000 formal apprentices in three years: Bangladesh's success in learning and earning

    A total of 8000 apprentices across Bangladesh recently completed skills apprenticeships under the TVET Reform Project, supported by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and funded by the European Union (EU). Just three years ago, the number was only 98 apprentices registered under the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET). The Centre of Excellence for Leather has also received funding from the Swiss Development Corporation and USAID’s PRICE programme.

    In conjunction with the commemoration of the International Day for Persons with Disabilities, the International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with Kampung Halaman Foundation (YKH), will organize a series of campaign activities titled “SAME: Spaces, Opportunities and Treatment for Persons with Disabilities”. The production of these participatory videos have involved 19 participants with vision, hearing and physical disabilities. They have involved in the intensive workshops for one month in October.
