  1. Frequently-Asked Questions in Malaysia about Child Labour

    The International Labour Organization’s “From Protocol to Practice: A Bridge to Global Action on Forced Labour” (Bridge) Project, Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources, Human Rights Commission of Malaysia Office of the Children’s Commissioner, and UNICEF collaborate to develop this Frequently-Asked Questions document on child labour in Malaysia, with the aim of increasing awareness about child labour and its impacts.

  2. Indonesia to focus its child labour programme in rural area

    The Indonesia is reviewing its Roadmap on Child-Labour Free by 2022. The ILO and its Ministerial partners examine progresses made and enhance efforts to meet the global commitment towards ending child labour by 2025.

  3. ILO submits the Elimination of Child Labour Petition to the Ministry of Manpower

    The ILO has submitted the petition on the elimination of child labour in Indonesia, signed by more than 5,000 people to the Ministry of Manpower. The petition was part of the effort reach a world without child labour by 2025.

  4. Bolstering Unemployment Insurance and Labour Market Policy Development in Myanmar (BUILD)

    The project “Bolstering Unemployment Insurance and Labour Market Policy Development in Myanmar (BUILD)” aims at improving unemployment protection including unemployment benefits and active labour market policies in Myanmar.

  5. Achieving reduction of child labour in support of education: Programme to reduce the worst forms of child labour in agriculture

    The project’s overarching goal is the reduction of the worst forms of child labour in the agricultural/rural communities in selected zones.

  6. Strengthening child labour data analysis capacities in Pakistan

    The ILO in Pakistan, through its Asia Regional Child Labour (ARC) Project, funded by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) trained 70 stakeholders on child labour data analysis in a bid to strengthen capacities as they embark on provincial child labour surveys.

  7. The Asia Regional Child Labour (ARCL) Programme (Project fact sheet)

    Funded by Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, (UK), the ARCL Programme aims at assisting the ILO constituents and other stakeholders in Pakistan to eliminate child labour in particular the worst forms of child labour, which in turn contributes to the achievement of SDG 8.7 by 2025.

    ILO’s Virtual Academy to promote decent work in rural economy

    To improve rural working condition during and beyond the pandemic, the ILO in Indonesia organized the first Virtual Academy to promote decent work in rural economy, with specific focus on the agriculture sector, through country-level policy dialogues and masterclasses.

  9. Policy Dialogue towards a Child Labour-Free Indonesia

    The Dialogue is part of the campaign to eliminate child labour in Indonesia and part of the response to the Roadmap towards a Child Labour-Free Indonesia in 2022.
