Accel Africa in Uganda: Donor Visits Project Activities in Buikwe District

On the 29th of March 2022 the International Labor Organization (ILO) together with the representative from the Dutch government visited one of the ACCEL projects being implemented by Nascent RDO in Buikwe District.

Beneficiaries of the project's activities
The visitors were received from Buikwe District Headquarters, where they set off to the community to see some of the project activities.

The LC1 committee of kyanja village welcomed the visitors to their community.  They indicated that they were pleased to be benefiting from the project.

Among them were one of a VSLA group that has benefited from the project interventions like Income Generating Activity trainings among others called “Bukadde Magezi” which means being old is being wise, which members are going to benefit from the bonus share.

Some apprentices in tailoring were also visited to check the progress and condition of learning and later visited kyanja public school were most of the beneficiary children attend primary school and are being supported in school in some activities like life skills and SCREAM trainings by the implementing partner Nascent RDO.
